We Delivered Our 2+1 Modern Country House in Çanakkale!

Modern Country House, in Çanakkale's Çan district, has been completed and handed over to its owners. The 81 m² 2+1 home was built with a light steel structural system. The loft floor and the gallery void above the living room were among the core elements defining the project's interior arrangement.

Layout and Living Spaces

Modern Country House has two bedrooms, a living room designed together with an open kitchen, and one bathroom. One of the bedrooms was placed on the loft floor, making use of the 81 m² living area on two different levels.

The gallery void left above the living room creates a double-height volume in this part of the house. Together with the combined planning of the open kitchen and living room, the loft and gallery arrangement was designed to create an open, airy living space within the home's compact plan.

Light Steel Structural System

A galvanised light steel structural system was chosen for Modern Country House. Preparing the building components in a controlled factory environment and assembling them on site allowed the construction process to proceed in a planned and efficient manner. The low weight of the light steel system also helped reduce the load on the foundation.
